SUPARTZ®
Administering Techniques
SUPARTZ® is injected intra-articularly into the synovial cavity of the knee. The procedure should be carried out using aseptic technique and anatomical landmarks for safe, accurate delivery.
- Injection schedule: Typically one injection per week for 3–5 weeks
- Needle gauge: 18–22G, depending on patient anatomy
- Precautions: Synovial fluid aspiration may be recommended before injection if joint effusion is present
- Post-injection: Patients may resume normal activities, but strenuous exercise should be avoided for 48 hours
SUPARTZ® Product Range
- SUPARTZ® 2.5 mL Prefilled Syringe: A standard sodium hyaluronate formulation with 25 mg of HA per 2.5 mL, designed for three to five weekly injections.
- SUPARTZ FX® (if available): An advanced version offering improved molecular stability and enhanced performance in joint lubrication.
Each product is supplied in a prefilled, sterile syringe and ready for immediate clinical use.
Side Effects
SUPARTZ® side effects are typically mild and resolve without intervention. These may include:
- Localized swelling, warmth, or redness at the injection site
- Mild joint stiffness or discomfort
- Temporary increase in knee pain immediately post-injection
Serious adverse events are extremely rare when standard precautions and proper injection technique are followed.
SUPARTZ® vs Competition
Compared to other viscosupplements, SUPARTZ® delivers reliable pain relief with a well-established history of clinical use. While some alternatives may require only a single injection (e.g., MONOVISC®), SUPARTZ® offers a gradual and often more sustained therapeutic effect through a multi-injection protocol.
Unlike avian-derived formulations, SUPARTZ® is made from non-animal sources, lowering the risk of allergic reaction and improving patient tolerance. For professionals who choose to order SUPARTZ online, it remains a trusted and accessible option in conservative osteoarthritis care.
